One to World Initiative

Daily activities at Adams Central school will require that each student in grades 6-12 have access to a computer to complete work and participate in class. One To World initiative makes it imperative that each student who attends the Adams Central School district grades 6-12, have access to an electronic device to complete work and participate in class. Adams Central Public Schools is committed to providing students with educational opportunities to help them develop as responsible, educated citizens in a technology-enabled society. Individual access to computerized devices provides our students and teachers the means to engage in innovative, collaborative opportunities with access to unlimited information to support learning.

The One to World initiative is to further involve students in active learning, increase student engagement, and provide students with skills such as communication, problem solving, and collaboration. To incorporate the technology into curriculum and instruction and to promote differentiating instruction to meet the needs of students, the One to World initiative will focus on academic achievement, student engagement, and customized learning.

Adams Central students live in a media-driven and technology environment, marked by access to a plethora of information, rapid changes in technology and the ability to collaborate and make individual contributions on an unprecedented scale. Effective citizens and workers must be able to exhibit a range of functional and critical thinking skills, such as: information literacy, media literacy, digital literacy.

Started in the fall of 2015-16 school year, Adams Central Public Schools started the One to World initiative.
