We hope everyone is having a great summer! We wanted to take a moment to share with you an important change coming to the Kindergarten-12th grade school schedule for the upcoming school year. Starting on August 18, 2021, and running on every Wednesday through the school year, both the elementary and the junior/high school will have a late start to the school day. The elementary will start at 8:35 and the junior/senior high school will start at 8:50. At the high school the first bell will ring at 8:45 AM on Wednesdays, with the tardy bell ringing at 8:50. Both school buildings will still be open at normal times and the buildings will be staffed and supervised as though it is a normal school day. Students here at normal times on Wednesdays will report to the cafeteria in both buildings and will have time to study, read, or complete assignments. Breakfast will be served from 7:30-8:30 on Wednesdays.

This change was necessary to support our teachers in the development of our teachers as we work through the Marzano High Reliability Schools Instructional Model. In order to accomplish this, we will need to increase the amount of time that our teacher teams meet every week. We are very fortunate to have a very talented and dedicated team of educators at Adams Central Public Schools and we look forward to continuing to provide high quality instruction for all students!
