Pumroy to lead AC Foundation

Adams Central welcomes B.J. Pumroy as the first executive director of the Adams Central Schools Foundation.

Pumroy and his family moved to Hastings in 2019 after living in the Washington DC area for nine years. It was a welcome move back to the Midwest for the Cedar Rapids, Iowa native. Pumroy graduated from Truman State University (Mo) and earned a graduate degree from Northwestern University in Louisiana.

Much of his career has been spent working in administration at the college level and he resided in six different states before settling in Hastings. Pumroy has also enjoyed coaching.

The energy derived from being around young people is what keeps Pumroy involved in education. He hopes his work with the AC Foundation helps the school district improve student education.
